Product development
It all starts with the customer’s design according to the guiding principle: “Form follows Function”. A design of the components that is suitable for the mould, taking into account the requirements, areas of application and installation situations, can have an impact on the overall project with consequences for the request specification, the necessary mould technology and therefore on costs and delivery time.
We support the design or the sometimes necessary re-design of articles for silicone-compatible design of LSR or HTV components. Continuously networked CAD/CAM/DMS and ERP systems, coupled with over 40 years of experience, provide the basis for a successful project. Perfect components removed with end-of-arm moulds with high demands on visual design, surfaces and freedom from burrs are our “daily business”.
Mould and cold runner design
The mould design is determined by the product specification and the production requirements.
We verify the implementation of the product specifications through fill studies. We use software specialised in silicone (LSR + HTV) to determine the injection point and venting. Due to the high viscosity of the material, there is a risk of burr formation on the product. When designing the mould, moving parts in the LSR mould should be avoided as far as possible.
Standard mould assemblies with exchangeable contour sets generate short delivery times with a cost-effective overall design for small to medium-sized series. High-volume moulds are adapted to customer needs for fully automated processes to ensure the highest possible cost efficiency with maximum quality and rate of output. Cold runner valve gate nozzles, mounted on the injection unit, offer an unbeatable cost-effective solution for prototypes and small series moulds. “High-end” LSR and HTV cold runners, manipulated via stepper motors, complete our portfolio of cold runner technology.
Peripheral and system technology
No two components are alike. All components in the production chain must be defined for each individual silicone project. This also applies to the peripheral and system technology.
Maximum safety, flexibility and productivity can only be achieved by taking into account the production environment in combination with knowledge of the company-specific conditions. We are there to advise you from the design of your LIM injection moulding machine to the 2-component mixing and dosing technology, additional coolers and right up to the design and manufacture of extraction technology (EOAT). Material selection
Silicone is an ingenious material. The making of a product with silicone requires in-depth knowledge of the product specifics of this material. The multitude of properties of silicones and their possible areas of application can make product-specific selection difficult.
